This page provides information for new NIML student researchers concerning training, safety and forms.
Contents
Safety training
All student researchers in the NIML must complete the following safety training courses and forms:
- Complete the lab safety agreement, Return signed agreement to Dr. Martin
- Email Judy Vadegrift judyv@uidaho.edu (cc Dr. Martin) and ask to enroll in the "fire safety" and "basic lab safety" course
- Email Dr. Martin to let him know when you have completed the safety courses
Undergraduate research forms
- BE 499 directed study form: Complete this form if you are taking a research "tech elective"
- Volunteer position description form: Complete this form if you are an UNPAID volunteer (including senior design people)
- Criminal background check form: Complete this form if you are being hired for a PAID position in the lab
- Employment form complete this form if you are being hired to work in the lab as IH.
CITI training
If you will be working on a project involving human subject data (e.g. MRI) please complete the CITI training in the steps below:
- Go to CITI training program for human subjects research.
- Affiliate with University of Idaho
- Complete "Stage 1 Basic Course"
- Complete "Responsible Conduct of Research"
- Complete "Conflicts of Interest"
- Complete "Initial Biosafety Training"
- Email your certification of completion forms (all of them) to Dr. Martin
